As most cycling courses provided by INVIS MACAO are held outdoors, we have established service arrangements for inclement weather to ensure the safety of both students and coaches/instructors. Coaches will assist students in leaving safely or proceeding to a secure location for temporary shelter. If the SMG announces that Signal No. 8 or above will be issued within 2 hours after the scheduled completion of the session (e.g., if a session is scheduled to end at 16:00 and the SMG announces Signal No. 8 will be issued before 18:00), the session will, in principle, conclude at its original time. However, the on-site coach reserves the right to terminate early based on traffic and safety conditions.Rain / Rainstorm WarningIf rain is expected during the training session, please prepare a windbreaker and a set of clean clothes for changing after class. As rainfall in Macao is often localized and may consist of brief showers, coaches/instructors will handle arrangements based on data provided by the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) and the following guidelines:Continuous RainIndoor TrainingProceed as normal.Outdoor TrainingIf it is already raining before training commences and rain is expected to continue during the scheduled time, the coach/instructor will relocate to an indoor venue if feasible. If indoor training is not possible, the session will be cancelled, and the coach/instructor will not proceed to the venue. If it is raining before training commences but rain is expected to stop within 20 minutes of the scheduled start time, the session will proceed as planned. Any absence for other reasons will be treated as a “no-show” and an automatic waiver of rights, with no rescheduling or make-up classes allowed. While wet surfaces may increase the risk of slipping, controlling a bicycle on wet ground is considered a technical skill. Therefore, training will not be cancelled solely due to wet ground. Coaches will implement measures to minimize risks, including but not limited to: verbal reminders, avoiding specific slick areas, cordoning off hazardous spots, or reducing speed.Thunderstorm WarningThunderstorm WarningAs the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) may issue a Thunderstorm Warning regardless of whether the thunderstorm affects a wide area or is localized to a specific district:Therefore, when a Thunderstorm Warning is issued by the SMG, the coach/instructor will decide whether to continue, terminate immediately, or cancel the training based on the data released by the Bureau and the actual weather conditions on-site. If the coach/instructor decides to terminate the training early, no make-up class will be provided.Strong Monsoon Signal (Black Ball)When the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) issues a Strong Monsoon Signal (Black Ball):All training sessions will proceed as normal.Participants in outdoor training must be particularly vigilant against sudden strong gusts of wind on the road (especially on bridges, coastal sections, or high ground), which may cause instability in bicycle control. Coaches will adjust the training location or content based on the actual wind conditions.Very Hot Weather AdvisoryWhen the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) issues a Very Hot Weather Advisory (Yellow or Orange Alert):All training sessions will proceed as normal. However, coaches/instructors may change, reduce, or shorten the training based on actual conditions, or relocate to an indoor venue if necessary.Coaches/instructors should consider reducing training intensity and arranging more rest periods for students. All students and coaches/instructors are reminded to stay hydrated by drinking sufficient water at regular intervals.During the advisory, the sun is generally very intense during the day. All students and coaches/instructors are reminded to apply sufficient sunscreen.Students are advised to prepare a change of clothes for use after the training session. If any student feels unwell during the session, they should notify the coach immediately and terminate their training for proper handling.Cold Weather AdvisoryWhen the Macao Meteorological and Geophysical Bureau (SMG) issues a Cold Weather Advisory (Yellow or Orange Alert):All training sessions will proceed as normal. However, coaches/instructors may change, reduce, or shorten the training based on actual conditions (such as low temperature, wind chill, or rainfall), or relocate to an indoor venue if necessary. All students and coaches/instructors are reminded to wear sufficient warm clothing. However, the actual timing may be shorter than 1.5 hours due to rapid weather changes, and customers shall raise no objection. If the coach decides to relocate the training indoors, such sessions may require students to provide their own bicycle rollers or trainers. If a student is unable to participate due to a lack of relevant equipment, it will be deemed a voluntary waiver, and no make-up classes or compensation in any form will be provided. For certain service plans, even if a customer is absent or voluntarily waives participation, make-up classes may still be arranged by paying an administrative fee. Please refer to the terms on individual bills or service invoices for details. The above procedures, guidelines, and terms are for reference only.
